All projects are unique and bring different variables. The listed steps below are only a general example of how a project may progress. The TyfoTechnical Specification Tool is meant as a supplemental reference and design tool to the free, no-obligation technical service Fyfe Co. LLC provides. Please contact us for assistance with your next project.
| Project Progression |
| Step 1: |
Engineer-of-record
• Analyzes existing structure and finds deficiencies
• Typical projects that illustrate deficiencies include: seismic upgrades, corrosion mitigation, change-of-use, pipe strengthening, pile rehabilitation, current code compliance, and blast mitigation |
| Step 2: |
Fyfe Co. LLC
• Works with the engineer-of-record to establish design goals and clearly identify the performance deficiencies
• Runs preliminary calculations to determine project feasibility
• Sends preliminary design to a certified applicator |
| Step 3: |
Certified Applicator
• Provides cost estimate to engineer-of-record/client
|
| Step 4: |
Engineer-of-record
• Engineer-of-record and/or client decide to use Tyfo composites as the solution or as an alternate to a conventional scheme |
| Step 5: |
Fyfe Co. LLC
• Fyfe Co. LLC helps engineer-of-record write a performance-based specification
• Or Tyfo composites specified directly and a contract is written from the certified applicator |
| Step 6: |
Certified Applicator
• Bid or contract is awarded and construction begins |
